Dean Dollarhide

Sharyl, our office manager, was born and raised in The Dalles, and her insurance journey began in 2007. With years of experience under her belt, she initially worked with a previous office before making a smooth transition to the Dollarhide agency in 2011. Sharyl loves working with commercial insurance and possesses a wealth of knowledge spanning various sectors, including small businesses, contractors, and even farms. Her dedication and passion for assisting customers throughout different stages of their lives are evident, and she aspires to one day own her own office.

Beyond the professional sphere, Sharyl is a devoted mother to six daughters, keeping her constantly engaged outside of work. She cherishes the precious moments spent with her family, recognizing the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Sharyl is deeply appreciative of being a part of her community and considers herself fortunate to call the beautiful Gorge her home.

Meet Oscar, a valuable addition to our team. Born in Anaheim, California, Oscar spent a significant part of his childhood in Mexico, immersing himself in the rich culture and becoming bilingual in English and Spanish. It was upon his return to the United States at the age of 8 that he learned English.

Oscar's educational journey led him to The Dalles, Oregon, where he graduated from The Dalles High School in 2007. Eager to pursue higher education and continue his passion for soccer, he enrolled at Clark College, where he not only furthered his studies but also showcased his skills on the soccer field.

After completing college, Oscar returned to The Dalles and embarked on a career at Dean Dollarhide's in June of 2011. It was here that he found love and companionship, marrying his wife Sharyl. Together, they are proud parents to six daughters: Alexia, Ari, Lily, Samantha, Alejandra, and Briana.

While juggling the responsibilities of his career and being a devoted father, Oscar also finds time to pursue his hobby and passion for coaching soccer. He firmly believes that competitive sports can equip children with valuable tools and life lessons that will pave the way for their success in the future.

With his diverse background, bilingual abilities, and dedication to both his profession and family, Oscar brings a unique perspective and valuable insights to our team. We are thrilled to have him on board as he continues to make a positive impact both on and off the field.

Julie is a valuable member of our team, bringing a diverse range of interests and experiences. Born and raised in The Dalles area, Julie's deep connection to nature has shaped her love for the great outdoors. She has developed a passion for hiking, constantly seeking new trails and challenging herself to reach new heights.

In addition to her adventurous spirit, Julie is an avid reader. She finds solace in the pages of books, diving into different worlds and expanding her knowledge. Her curiosity and thirst for learning are evident in her dedication to staying well-read and informed.

Julie's love for animals is unwavering. She cherishes every opportunity to interact with and care for them, seeing them as kindred spirits. Whether it's volunteering at local animal shelters or simply spending time with her own pets, Julie's compassion for animals shines through.

Myah is a dedicated and accomplished individual with a passion for helping and educating others. Born in Parkdale, Oregon, Myah's upbringing was deeply rooted in her involvement with 4-H and FFA. Throughout her middle and high school years, she excelled as a competitor, ambassador, and educator within these organizations.

With a particular focus on showing sheep and goats, Myah's commitment to excellence led her to compete at the county, state, and national levels. After graduating from Hood River Valley High School in 2020, she continued her academic journey at Columbia Gorge Community College, where she earned three associate degrees: Associate of Science, Associate of General Studies, and Associate of Art. This educational foundation has equipped Myah with a well-rounded perspective and a thirst for knowledge.

Beyond her academic achievements, Myah is a proud owner of a two-year-old yellow lab named Douglas, who brings joy and companionship to her life. Additionally, she is an entrepreneur, running her own photography business called Bee Kind Photo Co. Through her business, Myah captures and preserves precious moments for her customers, creating lasting memories.

Since April of 2023, Myah has been employed at State Farm, where she holds licenses in Life and Property/Casualty. This role allows her to leverage her knowledge and expertise to help individuals protect their assets and plan for the future.

One of Myah's greatest strengths is her genuine desire to assist and educate others. Whether it's sharing her photography skills, providing guidance on insurance matters, or simply lending a helping hand, she consistently goes above and beyond to make a positive impact on people's lives.
